LOCATION & TRAVEL
Philadelphia, PA is located on the East Coast of the United States about
100 miles south of New York City and 140 miles north of Washington,
DC. There are many direct national and international flights to Philadelphia’s
International Airport (PHL). The Sofitel Philadelphia and Shriners Hospitals
for Children are located within 30 minutes of the airport by train or
cab. Major railway links between Philadelphia and other major East Coast
cities such as Washington, DC, New York and Boston are easily accessible.
The conference will
be held at Shriners Hospitals for Children located in North Philadelphia.
A block of rooms has been reserved at the Sofitel Philadelphia for IFESS
conference attendees. Shriners Hospitals for Children is about 3 miles
from the Sofitel Philadelphia and center city. A chartered bus will
transport attendees to and from the Sofitel and Shriners Hospitals for
Children. The conference site can also be accessed via a 10-minute subway
ride from center city.

fourth 4th persons in room with two double beds are $20.00 per night/per
person additional. Room rates do not include local taxes and fees,
which are 14%. All the deposits for the individual reservations are
fully refundable if the room reservation is cancelled by 4:00p.m.
on the guest’s arrival date. Should an attendee of the group cancel
his or her room reservation after 4:00p.m. on their arrival date,
one night’s room revenue will be non-refundable. This constitutes
a no-show reservation and the reservation fee becomes the property
of Sofitel Philadelphia.
Transportation
Daily transportation will be provided from the Philadelphia Sofitel
to Shriners Hospital for Children. If you require a wheelchair accessible
